We Will Dance Again
It is an event done by teens for teens
Monday Night CHAI is a highlight for our teens—a time to connect with their Jewish friends, engage their minds, and enjoy dinner together.
On Monday, October 7, teens and their parents in the South Dade area will gather to learn and reflect on the tragic events of October 7, 2023, known as the dark Sabbath. While adults will attend a program at Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach, teens and parents of teens will meet at Temple Beth Am for engaging learning sessions, followed by dinner and a meaningful, age-appropriate ceremony.
Even if your teen is already registered for our Monday Night CHAI program, it’s critical to register them separately for the special session on October 7th due to enhanced security measures and specific arrangements for this event. This separate registration ensures a safe and smooth experience for everyone. Registration closes on October 1st, and no exceptions will be made for late registrations.
We’ve titled the evening “We Will Dance Again” in remembrance of the Nova Festival, where music and dancing were tragically paused for the nation.
Throughout history, the Jewish people have faced numerous hardships, yet we have always looked forward, choosing resilience and healing. As Amir, a survivor of the Nova Festival, shared: “Nothing can stop us or murder our spirit… Will you stop dancing? Will you dance again?” Our answer is clear: We will pause to commemorate, but we will continue to dance. Nothing can stop us.
