Building of the final classroom at ‘Escuela de Llantas’ in Guatemala with our Social Justice Teen Fellowship
Last weekend, 24 incredible teens from our Social Justice Teen Fellowship collaborated in the building of the final classroom at ‘Escuela de Llantas’ in Guatemala! They mixed cob by hand, created recycled Vountu blocks, and poured concrete for the roof. Beyond the building, they connected deeply with local students—dancing, singing, and forming friendships across language barriers. They explored Comalapa’s vibrant streets, traced its history through murals, made tortillas, and tried traditional weaving. Each night, they shared moments of growth and gratitude. They returned home transformed, with new perspectives on resilience, community, and making a real difference. So proud of these extraordinary young changemakers.
