2015 — Staci, Steven, Matthew, Daniel & Brooke Solomon
We Salute the Solomon Family, selected as the Committee of 100’s 2015 ‘Family of the Year’
Each year, Temple Beth Am is proud to recognize an outstanding family of volunteers. Congratulations to the Solomon Family — Staci, Steven, Matthew, Daniel and Brooke — who have been selected as recipients of the Committee of 100’s 2015 “Family of the Year” Award, for their continued participation in our Temple community and their ongoing commitment to congregational leadership.
Steven is currently serving his sixth term on the Temple Beth Am’s Board of Directors and also serves on the Catering Committee. He was one of the members of the Rabbinic Search Committee, which in January completed its work in selecting Rabbi Jeremy Barras as our next Senior Rabbi. Steven also has served on the Temple Beth Am Day School Board and an earlier Rabbinic Search Committee. Steven and Staci were among the Co-Chairs of the Inaugural Gala in 2007 to celebrate the opening of the Lewis Family Religious Life Complex.
Staci also serves on the Catering Committee and was recently appointed to the Senior Rabbi Transition Team, which is working on the transition this year from Rabbi Terry Bookman to Rabbi Barras. She also served on the Religious School Board of Directors. During the High Holy Days, Staci is one of our hard-working Gabbaim.
Matthew, who completed the Temple Beth Am Early Childhood Program, is a graduate of our Religious School. A recent Bar Mitzvah, he participates in Monday Night CHAI, is an active member of our Youth Engagement program and has played in the Temple Beth Am Basketball League. Matthew is in eighth grade at Miami Palmetto Middle School.
Daniel and Brooke both completed Early Childhood Program and are enrolled in Temple Beth Am Religious School. They both attend Pinecrest Elementary School; Daniel is in the fifth grade, while Brooke is a kindergartner.
